This is Volume 2 of 2 of the iconic vintage Japanese street fashion magazine, Street Memo, specifically the World Mook Special Edition from 1994 focusing on bags. The magazine was published by Kesharu Imai. Similar to other renowned street style documenters like Shoichi Aoki, he is renowned for documenting street style in cities like Tokyo, Paris, London, and New York. This issue covers fashion trends from the first half of 1994, across the world.

Established in 1985, Japanese fashion magazine STREET has published some of the best street style photography on its pages and forged links between the different subcultures and style tribes that govern the scenes of London, Paris, Tokyo and beyond. More than three decades later, a lot has changed in the way we capture street style but little comes close these days than the first iterations of STREET by Chief Editor Shoichi Aoki, and STREET MEMO by Kesaharu Imai.

Aoki has recounted how in 1994 'London street fashion and club culture was very exciting during the mid-90s. People would gather at Freud Cafe Bars on Friday night, then go to clubs in Soho and Piccadilly Circus. Then go to Portobello Market the next morning.'

This special edition of Street Memo Volume 2 features incredible shots from London, Geneva, Paris, San Francisco and more focusing on bags.
