The book that introduced readers to Hannibal Lecter and was adapted into Michael Mann's 1986 film Manhunter featuring Brian Cox as Lecter. This UK edition has an incredible cover referencing William Blake's frightful Red Dragon and the Woman with the Clothed Sun painting, reproduced on the front and back inside cover.
Manhunter (the far better of the two adaptations of this novel) is currently available to stream on BBC iPlayer and the Criterion Channel.
