Angry Women in Rock by Andrea Juno

Following her work with Vivian Vale as a Co-publisher and Editor of RE/Search Andrea Juno splintered off and founded Juno Books. Another superb publishing house focusing on all thing counter culture.

This issue acts as a direct follow up to Juno's previous work on Angry Women, this time focusing specifically on Angry Women in Rock and features long form indepth interviews with Riot Grrrls, Chrissie Hynde, Joan Jett, Naomi Yang (Galaxie 500), Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill) and long term Swans collaborator Jarboe. The Jarboe interview alone is worth the price of entry.

Full of beautiful illustrations and incredible black and white photos of the artists and musicians featured it makes for an incredible document of the time.
